Japan’s Skin-Beautifying Hot Spring: A natural skincare treatment in itself

Tamatsukuri Onsen in Shimane is one of Japan’s oldest hot spring resorts. Its waters are rich in minerals and known for excellent moisturizing effects, earning it the nickname “Bijin-no-Yu” (beauty-enhancing hot spring). At the local Yuyakushi Plaza, there’s even a hidden spot where you can freely collect “natural skincare water” for free!
You can collect the water easily, even without bringing anything

Even if you come empty-handed, there’s no need to worry about having a container—empty bottles are available on-site (for a small fee). Filling the “skincare water” is actually trickier than it looks. You’ll need to carefully align the bottle opening, making it a fun and slightly challenging experience!

5-day Limited Skin-Beautifying “Lotion Water” Experience

However, please note that since the hot spring water is completely natural and contains no preservatives, its shelf life is only about 5 days. It is recommended to collect only a moderate amount.
